- Coolum Vietnam Support Group (CVSG)
- CVSG was founded 2008 to RESTORE HOPE and CHANGE LIVES in Viet Nam. CVSG is a supported mission of the Coolum Beach Baptist Church. We were in Viet Nam (September 2017) on our 12th mission trip. Two trips to Viet Nam 2013, first in March / April 2013 when we introduced Patti Lien, a physio therapist to our main projects in Sai Gon with great success. Second mission August/ September 2013. In 2012 we went in August/September. This year we celebrate TEN Years VIET NAM support!!! For details see below, thanks. Our fifth trip (Christmas 2011, New Year and TET - the Vietnamese lunar NEW YEAR) was a very fruitful mission; we organised 2 Christmas parties, donated 9 bicycles to students in My Trung, met with Ngoc Hong, a 12 year old girl who suffers from bile cancer and handed $1000 to her parents. In 2009 we helped about 100 people, 2010 we concentrated on education. 78 children got scholarships and 38 received donations. Continued educational support by paying school fees and scholarships. Continued support of the HOPE School for Hearing Impaired Children in Binh Thanh district, Sai Gon as well as various other worth wile projects.
