We bought a sewing machine ... Saturday, 17th of October

Tram's mum at the sewing machine shop.

We rang HIEN at 10 AM and got in a taxi. She told the driver where to take us. Sure, we trust HIEN, but can we trust the driver ??? You know, it's absolutely mind boggling how the taxi drivers find all the small streets in a town with a population of over 14 million people.
However we arrived, about an hour or so later, HIEN hopped in and the taxi ride continued. Traffic chaos on a Saturday morning. Meter kept rolling but only very slowly. Arrived in THAI BINH to pay for the sewing machine for TRAM's father. Told the taxi to wait ... paid, got a receipt and off we went to the next event at LAN's house.

By the time we arrived at Lan's it was 12:40 PM. We had told her we would be there at 11:00. Our taxi ride took 2.4 hours and cost exactly VND 235,000 - in AUD ~ $15. Not bad eh!!!

LAN had lunch prepared for us and we met little KHANH. He is 3 years old, but the size of a toddler and weighs only 10 kg. KHANH had a heart operation in June and is now slowly growing. He needs special heart medication which is expensive. Later on he will also need an operation on his tummy. KHANH has a doctor's appointment on Friday. We already agreed to pay for his heart medication for one year and any other medication to aid his growth and recovery.

KHANH's mother EN will inform HIEN on Friday and we will organize the medication.

Taxi took us home. We caught up with TRUC again at the tailor shop and agreed to meet with her and Justin tomorrow for lunch.
