We arrived safe and well in HCMC - which is short for Ho Chi Minh City - or Sai Gon for short !!!. Had a stop over in Kuala Lumpur for three hours, had breakfast and then only a two hour flight to Saigon. Weather in Saigon is good - 32 and overcast. Went through immigration and customs in record time, mind you we had to get our visa at the same time.
Changed some money, walked out of the airport and there was our driver with a big sign “ULI HOSANG”. 25 minutes later we were at the hotel, got our favourite room .... and Bob is your Uncle / Aunt - whatever. :-)
The only stressful point was right as Brissie airport. :-( Qantas does the check in for Malaysia Airlines. The b..... did not give us seat we requested ... fully booked she said. And the way she said it without even checking ... So I was up in arms. but Uli calmed me down. 10 minutes later the Malaysian Airlines supervisor came. I went and talked to her ... very friendly ... she checked the computer and gave us the exit row we originally requested. She then apologised ... 8-)
The poor Eels ... got stormed yesterday, what a pity.
Met with our friends Bob and HIEN in the afternoon. Was good to see them again. Had dinner with them and that was it .... we both went out like a light.
