In between visits to the Peace Orphanage we did a bit of shopping. The TAX department store (not to be mistaken with OUR TAX department) is the best for local products and souvenirs. The markets are probably a bit cheaper if you know the going rate. Found some very interesting business card holders. Wait till you see them !!!
Had meetings with Bob and HIEN. Still waiting on a progress report of the houses in the Mekong delta. The chairman promised e-mail updates. So far we only heard about a fax that HAE received ...
Last night we were invited to LAN's house where we met her husband. First we thanked them for the wonderful picture, had a cupper and later on a traditional Vietnamese dinner. Must download pictures later ... sorry. We also saw KHANH again and gave his mother 2 mill dong for him. KHAHN had a heart operation in July and is slowly recovering. He needs heart medication every day.
Wednesday, we had dinner with BnH at a Germany restaurant in HCMC. It was really good, had sausages, schnitzel and red cabbage and German wheat beer - Schneider Weisse!!! BnH surprised us with a present from LAN - a beautiful Vietnamese picture. We both were absolutely stunned.
